I am beyond excited for Rachel & Jason’s wedding next April!!! Not just because it’s in Austin, TX {my hometown}, but because I’m so lucky to call these two friends!! Rachel and I met through my best and oldest friend Sophie and bonded when she chose us to be co-Maid of Honors for her wedding. Rachel is sweet, ultra-organized, rowdy and so gorgeous.
She met Jason in college but they didn’t date until they reconnected when Rachel was doing a rotation in Singapore for Dell. Jason was not there but they traded tips and stories over email, which led to Skype calls, which led to them eventually dating! From that point on, even when they lived across the world or in different cities, they were together. Jason finally made it official while they both lived in New York City.
They migrated back to Austin together, which is where we shot their engagement photos. We battled the insane Texas heat at Town Lake {Lady Bird Lake for the Austin newbies} with their dog Cooper. He is quite possibly the most photogenic and happiest Golden Retriever ever. After dropping him off, we head over to The University of Texas where we lucked out because no classes were in session, so we had the UT Tower all to ourselves, which is unheard of!! And then to top it all off, we wandered around South Congress together, dodging traffic and crossing streets to get that awesome city background shot. While there, we hit up the classic Austin signs and ended the session with an amazing dinner.
I cannot wait for their wedding next April at Barr Mansion!!
