Meredith + Clay

I cannot tell you what an amazing day I had running around New York City shooting Meredith and Clay’s engagement photos. First of all, these two are quite possibly the cutest couple ever. Their chemistry, admiration and love for each other is obvious! And they might both be just as goofy as me so I’m sure you can guess we laughed all day while visiting some amazing locations. When we first talked about our game plan for the day, I wanted to make sure we stayed true to who they are as a couple. There are SO many awesome New York spots to shoot, but I knew I wanted to make these photos special to them!

So we started our day wandering around their adorable neighborhood in West Village. Clay was full of ideas from stopping by one of their favorite parks to the market they frequent to Soda Fountain Hamilton’s Luncheonette for one of the best milkshakes I’ve ever tasted! Then we wandered over to Central Park because I mean how can you not stop there? The fall colors were in full bloom, especially around the turtle pond that they visit often!

We wandered through the park and over to The Metropolitan Museum of Art where we took some really fun photos with people whisking by Meredith and Clay as they stood perfectly still to capture that sentiment of New York City love where it can feel like it’s just the two of you in your own world as everyone speeds by. Meredith works in the museum industry so this was the perfect place to incorporate her love for art!

And then it was off to Studio 450, one of the coolest event and wedding venues I’ve ever visited. Apart from their killer rooftop views, their space is completely white adorned with these magical city windows on every wall. Needless to say I was in heaven and could have taken photos there all day! I’m so excited to share all of my favorite images with you, so without further adieu, I hope you enjoy!!
