Meet Johanna, Jake + Charlie!!!! Johanna is one of my friend’s from University of San Diego where we were Thetas together, so when she reached out for me to shoot her wedding, I was so flattered and excited!!
Johanna + Jake decided to go on a year-long road trip to celebrate their engagement and see all of America. They started out in San Diego, traveled the entire west coast before ending up in Jake’s hometown of Minneapolis, MN, where I met up with them. We shot the first portion of their session at the famous Stone Arch Bridge, which spans the Mississippi River and has the whole city as a backdrop!
After hanging and catching up, we woke up the next morning to shoot the next portion of their session. I knew we needed to capture some fun home session moments at their adorable Airbnb because each home they’ve shared around the country has been a huge part of their story. After that, ice cream and visiting the new Vikings stadium {these two are huge football fans}, we jumped in the car because you can’t photograph a road trip without being part of it!
We headed three hours north to Lake Superior and the Split Rock Lighthouse with their matching bikes, a picnic and of course Charlie! I couldn’t believe how incredibly stunning our destination was! I seriously wish every session could be one giant adventure like this one!
