When I first met Nadine and Nikita, I knew their engagement session was going to be something special. These two have a chemistry that’s simply electric, and it’s no wonder—one of their favorite activities to do together is dancing salsa. The way they move together is like a conversation in motion, full of passion, rhythm, and connection. Naturally, they brought that same energy to their engagement session, creating an unforgettable experience at the UCLA Botanical Garden and El Matador Beach. I can’t recommend adding music to your session more after our fun time together! Check out this fun video on my Instagram of our time together.
The UCLA Botanical Garden: A Serene Start
Our afternoon began at the UCLA Botanical Garden, an oasis of calm nestled within the bustling city. The lush greenery, winding paths, and tranquil atmosphere provided the perfect backdrop for the first part of our session. As we strolled through the garden, Nadine and Nikita brought out a portable speaker and started playing some of their favorite salsa tunes. The moment the music started, their eyes lit up, and they began to dance. The garden, usually so quiet, came alive with their energy. The way they moved together, effortlessly in sync, was a beautiful reflection of their love story.
As they danced beneath the canopy of trees, it was clear that these were more than just engagement photos—this was a celebration of their love, their passion for each other, and the joy they find in dancing together. The contrast of their vibrant energy against the serene backdrop made for some truly magical shots, perfect for any couple searching for the best Los Angeles wedding photographer.
El Matador Beach: Sunset Salsa on the Sand
After our time at the garden, we made our way to El Matador Beach, one of the most breathtaking locations in Malibu. The rugged cliffs, dramatic rock formations, and golden sands were the perfect setting for the next chapter of our session. As the sun began to set, casting a warm glow over the beach, Nadine and Nikita once again brought out the music.
With the waves crashing in the background and the sky ablaze with color, they danced on the sand, completely lost in the moment. It was like watching a scene from a movie—two people, deeply in love, dancing as the sun set on one of the most beautiful beaches in California. The combination of the natural beauty of the location and the raw emotion of their dance created a series of images that are nothing short of breathtaking.
